‘Super Frank’ is Chelsea’s greatest ever player.

It would be horrifically inappropriate to start this blog and not mention Frank Lampard‘s achievement  of 200 Chelsea goals. He is now just two goals shy of equalling Bobby Tamblings all-time record of 202 goals, which has stood for over 40 years. Oh, wait…. Did I forget to mention he was a midfielder?! 200 goals from a midfielder?! It is a phenomenal stat that may never be achieved again from a player in his position.  For the entirety of his illustrious career, Lampard has had the knack of being in the right place at the right time, and this isn’t just good fortune. This is through having a superb knowledge of how the game is played and knowing when to start a run or make your way into the box – no one does it better. I could blabber on about Frank Lampard all night, I could discuss his passing ability, the unmatchable amounts of time he has spent perfecting his game in training, his all-round professionalism, but I’ll save it all for another day!

As the title suggests, I believe Frank Lampard is the greatest player ever to play for Chelsea, and I have probably already said enough above to warrant the statement, and if there was never a certain ‘Gianfranco Zola‘ or ‘Didier Drogba‘ I doubt many would have another opinion.
